Prana Healing Meditation

Prana Healing Meditation

This meditation activates the flow of prana allowing the body to heal and energize itself.

Sit in a comfortable position, either cross-legged on the floor or in a chair. Sit up tall with the spine straight, the shoulders relaxed and the chest open. Rest the hands on your knees or in your lap with the palms facing up. Relax the face, jaw, and belly. Let the tongue rest on the roof of the mouth, just behind the front teeth. Allow the eyes to lightly close.

Breathe slowly, smoothly and deeply in and out through the nose. Let the inhale start in the belly and then rise gently up into the chest. As the breath slows and deepens, let go of any thoughts or distractions. As you inhale, feel prana, life force energy flowing into your belly and chest. As you exhale, feel prana flowing out to your toes, fingers and the top of your head. Feel the prana moving through tiny little rivers and nourishing every cell, tissue and organ of your body. Feel your whole body full of prana, vibrating with aliveness from head to toe.

If you notice any places where the prana feels stuck and consciously relax those areas and encourage the prana to circulate. If you notice any places where the prana feels deficient and consciously breath or direct prana to that area. If you notice any places where prana feels excess and consciously draw prana away from that area. If there are places of injury or disease in your body consciously bring prana to those areas.

Practice this meditation for 10-20 minutes. To end, gently let the eyes blink open, inhale the palms together in front of the heart, exhale and gently bow. Take a moment or two before moving on with the rest of your day.
